InferCabulary illustrates words in multiple contexts and requires active engagement from students.
Students study image sets, each illustrating different contexts of a single word.
Then they select the corresponding word.
Transform Your Vocabulary Instruction
InferCabulary makes it fun and engaging for students to learn new vocabulary. As a teacher, you can quickly create assignments and integrate InferCabulary into your current curriculum. Word lessons are assignable by grade-level, category label, or by chapter and book title.
Through guided practice and a variety of activities within the gaming environment, students engage with carefully-chosen, real-world images to develop literacy skills. These strategies help bridge the gap in reading comprehension, and help students “own” sophisticated words that transfer to oral and written language.
In the Classroom
Teachers can access and assign InferCabulary lessons, activities, and assessments directly through Google Classroom.
At Home
Teachers can assign homework to support daily activities and view progress reports in real-time.
On the Go
Students can access InferCabulary on their personal devices, including mobile phones, tablets and computers.
